About The Position
FanSided is seeking a Site Expert for Chop Chat, a site focused on the Florida State Seminoles. The role involves building a strong community, producing fresh daily content, and offering unique news and opinionated analysis. Site Experts are expected to be highly knowledgeable about their respective fandom and to provide content that readers cannot find elsewhere. While FanSided offers support and advice, the Site Expert will strategize content efforts. Compensation is based on article traffic and overall site traffic, with rates varying by traffic, experience, and site. The role requires publishing a minimum of 50 articles per month, with the Site Expert personally writing 25-30. Responsibilities include editing contributor articles, providing feedback, suggesting topics, and managing the site's social media accounts (Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and engaging with fans. FanSided is a rapidly expanding fan-focused digital media network with a variety of sports, entertainment, and lifestyle sites, offering opportunities for both experienced writers and newcomers to digital media. Contributors are independent contractors who share their passion and knowledge.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of the Florida State Seminoles fandom.
- Ability to write unique news and opinionated analysis.
- Willingness to work as an independent contractor.
- Ability to manage and edit articles from contributors.
- Experience with social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
