Drexel Site Engineering Co-op (Spring/Summer 2027) - Limerick
About The Position
This co-op opportunity is in the Site Engineering organization at Constellation’s Limerick Generating Station. Successful candidates will work in either Strategic Engineering or Design Engineering. Strategic Engineering supports station operation and maintenance and includes the Electrical/HVAC Systems, Emergency Core Cooling Systems, and Balance of Plant Systems branches. Design Engineering handles modifications and design changes and helps identify and resolve station technical issues; its branches are I&C and Electrical Design and Mechanical Structural Design. Co-op responsibilities include analyzing data using spreadsheet programs, reviewing computerized data, compiling data to support analysis and prepare performance indicators, and helping prepare reports for senior station management. As needed, co-ops may also support system walkdowns, troubleshooting plant systems and instrumentation, equipment maintenance inspections, preliminary design change package development, and research into equipment specifications for future applications. Applicants must have a 2.8 cumulative GPA and a 3.0 major GPA and reliable transportation to and from the work site. Students are asked to include their GPA on their resumes. The opportunity is for Spring/Summer 2027 at Limerick Generating Station.
Requirements
- Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA and 3.0 major GPA.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Basic engineering skills and an understanding of practical applications.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred majors: Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- Related work or volunteer experience, or experience as a second co-op (intermediate level).
- Previous related work experience as a final co-op (advanced level).
Responsibilities
