About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is seeking a Site Director for their before- and after-school programs in Wellington, CO, and La Porte, CO. This leadership role is designed for individuals with experience supporting students, offering the opportunity to lead a meaningful program that helps children learn, grow, and thrive. The ideal candidate is an early learning professional who enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment, is confident in running a smooth program, takes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience, prioritizes child safety, and is flexible, reliable, and ready to assist wherever needed.

Requirements

  • Meet one of the following qualifications per CO licensing regulations: completed a bachelor's degree (in a related field, such as recreation, outdoor education, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field); 2 years of college education and 3 months (455 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable experience; 3 years of satisfactory and verifiable experience, along with 6+ semester hours or college education, OR 40 clock hours of training in coursework applicable to school-age children.
  • Satisfactory and verifiable experience must have occurred after the age of 18 and must be for the care/supervision of children 4 years or older.
  • Current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level II, version 3.0.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by CO childcare licensing regulations.
  • Experience in teaching or classroom leadership.
  • Experience in youth programs.
  • Experience in staff supervision or team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, including schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation.
  • Oversee and facilitate curriculum implementation, ensuring activities meet program expectations.
  • Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards.
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times.
  • Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections.
  • Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor the site team, providing coaching, feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met.
  • Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events.
  • Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success.
  • Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to students in fitness, the arts, technology, and more.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
  • Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
  • Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents.
  • Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive relationships among staff, children, parents, and the school are fostered at the program site.
