About The Position

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations, supervision of staff, maintenance of Oklahoma department of human service licensing compliance, maintaining NAEYC (national association for the education of young children) accreditation, and using best practices for the indoor classroom and outdoor nature explore certified classroom.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and interact with children, families, and various personnel
  • Ability to work in a team and support staff
  • Ability to take initiative to problem solve
  • Ability to communicate effectively and cooperatively in a respectful manner with diverse families, professionals, staff and community groups

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in education/early childhood
  • Experience in operating an early childhood development center
  • Spanish/English proficiency - verbal and written

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day operations at the center (including staff coverage, and supporting kitchen staff)
  • Replies to emails and messages in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
  • Supervises personnel, volunteers and interns
  • Appoints staff in charge when absent from facility (and inform staff of protocol)
  • Professional registry up to date (provide access to program director)
  • Clerical duties (DHS swipes, billing, childcare payments, ordering office materials, and monitoring petty cash)
  • Time off approval (ensuring proper coverage and following agency policies)
  • Evaluations for staff being supervised
  • CACFP (meal counts, daily serving forms, menu support, monitor attendance, maintain receipts in order)
  • Maintains NAEYC accreditation
  • Order’s school materials and office supplies must be submitted to program director for approval
  • Maintenance concerns addressed and resolved submit pink maintenance form to office manager
  • Schedule staff meetings as required for OKDHS licensing
  • Meets bi-weekly with administration team
  • Supervises that staff are implementing best practices in the indoor and outdoor learning environment
  • Other duties as pertaining to child development department
