About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Site Development Project Manager to join our growing Civil team. This newly created position supports increasing project demand and expands our project management capacity across a range of site/civil engineering and land development projects for public and private clients which require multi-disciplinary consultant teams including, multi-family housing, higher-ed and K-12 education, commercial, industrial, brownfields redevelopment, municipal parks and recreation, stormwater retrofit, and mixed-use. This role is well suited for a licensed civil engineer with strong site design experience who enjoys leading projects from concept through permitting and construction support. The Project Manager will oversee technical design, manage schedules and budgets, mentor staff, and work directly with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills
  • Prior project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversight
  • Experience with local and state permitting requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required
  • Travel to client sites, and attendance at town and city public meetings

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred
  • Maine Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • HydroCAD preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction support
  • Developing project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budget
  • Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in the areas of land development, stormwater management, and climate/flood resiliency
  • Preparing and reviewing site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site details
  • Designing stormwater management systems
  • Coordinating with municipal staff and attending Town/City public meetings
  • Participating in field meetings and site visits
  • Assisting with report preparation and local/state permit applications
  • Supporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships
