About The Position
RK&K is seeking a Land Development / Site Development Leader to lead high-impact projects, mentor top talent, and expand our reach across Federal, Public, and Private sectors in the DC metro area and Northern Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of land development and build something lasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license in DC and/or VA (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in land/site development
- Deep knowledge of permitting processes in DC and Northern VA
- Proven leadership and project management experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

- Strong local network of engineers and clients; active in industry groups
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage active site development projects across DC and Northern Virginia
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships
- Drive business growth by expanding RK&K’s footprint in new markets
- Oversee design, permitting, and quality control for land development projects
- Mentor and develop junior and senior civil engineering staff
- Facilitate client presentations, internal meetings, and plan approvals
