Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director of Education, plan, organize and conduct classroom for the School’s Out Program. This role oversees the daily operation during afterschool hours (2:30pm-6:00pm) at the School's Out program at a given site(s) under the guidance of the supervising director. It also includes paraprofessional duties (10:00am-1:45pm) and administrative duties or summer camp placement during summer months. The Site Coordinator must adhere to and implement Department of Early Education & Care (EEC) state regulations, maintain program enrollment, and support fundraising efforts by participating in the YMCA Annual Campaign. This position provides leadership to Group Leaders in child supervision, youth programming, and parent relationships, acting as a role model for participants and peers. The Site Coordinator is expected to actively participate in meetings, trainings, and activities, utilize appropriate guidance and developmental techniques, and enforce policies from the Y Parent Guide, Behavior Management Guide, and Staff Handbook. They will implement Y curriculum and evaluation standards, build strong relationships with families and children, and submit required paperwork on time. Additionally, the role involves coordinating logistical needs for supplies, evaluating programs and staff, attending professional development training, creating monthly newsletters and calendars using Microsoft Office, and submitting attendance weekly via Excel and Microsoft OneDrive. The Site Coordinator is the key person responsible for child safety and risk mitigation, and plans a well-rounded schedule incorporating various developmental components.
