About The Position

Arc Experience is seeking a Site Coordinator for Animo Legacy Charter Middle School in Los Angeles. This full-time role is responsible for creating a positive and enriching environment for students through before and after-school programs. The Site Coordinator will manage staff, mentor Program Leads, and ensure programs are engaging, safe, and supportive, fostering academic, social, and emotional development. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to build relationships with school administration, parents, and staff. The role blends education, mentorship, and community impact.

Requirements

2+ years’ experience in after-school programming operations and administrative skills.
1+ years’ experience managing a team.
Strong communication skills, able to talk to kids, parents, school admin and teachers comfortably.
Problem-solving skills.
Team player.
Good listener.
Ability to supervise and support staff without constant direction.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff.
Professional attitude, commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professional discretion.
Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve conflicts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common operating systems.
48+ college credit units completed OR pass an academic proficiency exam.
Negative TB test (proof required).
Pass a Live Scan background check.
CPR and first aid training or certification within 12 months.
Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute before starting work (Required).

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and oversee daily afterschool programs and activities that align with the organization's mission and student needs.
Ensure programs are engaging, age-appropriate, and promote academic, social, and emotional development.
Recruit, train, and manage afterschool program staff.
Serve as the primary point of contact for school administration, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
Develop staff schedules, assign duties, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Provide ongoing professional development and training to enhance staff effectiveness.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all staff and students.
Address student behavior issues in a positive and constructive manner, following organizational guidelines.
Monitor student attendance and engagement, addressing concerns with parents and school staff as needed.
Collaborate effectively with district staff to support program goals and ensure alignment with school and community needs.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to share updates on student progress and program activities.
Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and program evaluations.
Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, including licensing and safety requirements.
Develop and manage the program's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Oversee program setup, including materials, space, and equipment.
Coordinate transportation and meals/snacks for students as needed.
Act as the primary point of contact for the afterschool program, representing the organization positively to all stakeholders.
