About The Position

A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Site Civil Engineer/Team Lead for their Denver team! This role involves managing design through all phases of planning and design during construction, overseeing the department's overall performance and day-to-day operations, and providing services to current and new clients. The position also includes acting as a lead client manager for targeted key clients, using technical expertise to develop winning proposals, and participating in business development activities. The Site Civil Engineer will also assist with monitoring and managing projects, assigning duties to staff, identifying schedule and cost variances, managing scope, and ensuring construction support activities are handled effectively. Ensuring QA/QC standards are met and delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to scope are key aspects of this role. The individual will also serve as a senior project manager on some projects.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of Site Civil Engineering experience
  • Site Civil Engineering project manager and consulting services experience
  • PE License
  • Business development experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience using ERP software for successful project management, timely invoicing of clients, and accurate/timely reporting of expenses and time

Responsibilities

  • Manage design through all phases of planning and design during construction

  • Manage scope including identifying and documenting changes in scope
  • Responsible for construction support activities (responses to RFI’s, submittal reviews, construction site visits, design revisions)
  • Ensure QA/QC standards are met
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget and according to project scope
  • Serve as senior project manager on some projects
