About The Position

A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Site Civil Engineer/Team Lead for their Denver team! This role involves managing design through all phases of planning and design during construction, overseeing department operations, providing services to clients, and leading client management for key clients. The position also requires using technical expertise for proposal development, participating in business development activities, and monitoring/managing projects. Duties include assigning tasks to staff, identifying schedule and cost variances, managing scope changes, and providing construction support. Ensuring QA/QC standards and delivering projects on time and within budget are also key responsibilities. The role will also serve as a senior project manager on some projects.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of Site Civil Engineering experience
  • Site Civil Engineering project manager and consulting services experience
  • PE License
  • Business development experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience using ERP software for successful project management, timely invoicing of clients, and accurate/timely reporting of expenses and time
  • Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Manage design through all phases of planning and design during construction
  • Responsible for department's overall performance and day-to-day operations including meeting/exceeding performance goals
  • Provide services to current and new clients
  • Lead client manager for targeted key clients
  • Use technical expertise to assist with developing winning proposals
  • Participate in meetings including proposal presentation, interviews, and business development activities
  • Assist with monitoring/managing projects
  • Assign duties to staff
  • Identify schedule and cost variances
  • Manage scope including identifying and documenting changes in scope
  • Responsible for construction support activities (responses to RFI’s, submittal reviews, construction site visits, design revisions)
  • Ensure QA/QC standards are met
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget and according to project scope
  • Serve as senior project manager on some projects
