PS&S recently acquired Priest, Craven & Associates, a well respected Raleigh firm last month, and are looking to continue to grow in the Raleigh, Durham, and Research Triangle market. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Civil Designer or Civil Engineer to join our growing Land Development team in Raleigh. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical abilities, a solid understanding of site design principles, and experience working on private or public land development projects within a consulting environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • 5–7 years of experience in land development within a consulting firm
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required
  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12–18 months
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare site civil design plans, including site layout, grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, utilities, and erosion control
  • Complete Stormwater Management Designs
  • Develop construction documents, reports, and technical calculations
  • Assist with permitting processes at local and state levels
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Support design efforts for commercial, residential, and mixed‑use development projects
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
