About The Position

The Site CI/Lean Specialist will be responsible for observing, mapping, and analyzing current state processes across various site functions to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization. This role involves leading continuous improvement projects, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and training personnel on problem-solving techniques. The specialist will also work on developing standard operating procedures and monitoring key performance indicators to ensure sustained improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, process engineering, or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with pivot tables, data analysis, and process improvement

Responsibilities

• Observe, map, and analyze current state processes across various site functions (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, maintenance) to identify bottlenecks, non-value-added steps, and opportunities for optimization
• Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from initiation through completion, including defining scope, setting measurable goals, tracking progress, and reporting results to site leadership
• Apply Lean principles (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Poka-Yoke) and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) to solve complex operational problems and drive sustainable change
• Train and mentor site personnel on continuous improvement tools and techniques, fostering a culture of problem-solving and operational excellence
• Work with process owners to develop and document new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for improved processes, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements and ensure gains are sustained over time
