SITE-BASED SUBSTITUTE (Temporary, 2026-2027)
About The Position
Eden Prairie Schools is hiring a temporary Site-Based Substitute Teacher for part of the 2026–2027 school year at Forest Hills Elementary. The position provides continuous learning opportunities for students when a teacher is absent. The substitute reports to the assigned site five days per week and may be placed in various classrooms as needed. The role is scheduled for student days, Monday through Friday, from October 29, 2026, through March 3, 2027, subject to change. Compensation is $286.61 per day, based on the 2025–27 EPEA Employee Agreement. The position is not eligible for medical, dental, or vision insurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minnesota Teacher License.
- Short-Call Substitute License or teacher licensure in any subject area.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous learning opportunities for students when a teacher is absent.
- Report to the assigned school site five days per week on teacher workdays.
- Work in various classrooms to provide support as needed.
- Follow lesson plans.
- Manage the classroom proactively.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.
- Remain flexible, prompt, positive, and solution-oriented during the teaching day.
