About The Position

Use of power equipment to load and unload product. Safely move, locate, relocate, stack and count product. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license, use a handheld RF Scan Device, and lift up to 50lbs. The role involves sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, as well as twisting, stooping, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level. The work environment is non-climate controlled. The operator is expected to meet established productivity standards, understand stocking strategies, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and customer work instructions. Safety is paramount, including following dock safety policies, completing lift inspections, and reporting equipment malfunctions. Quality is also critical, ensuring error and damage-free shipments, accurate scanning, and complete paperwork. Maintaining inventory accuracy and reporting discrepancies are key responsibilities. Initiative is valued, including gaining knowledge of multiple accounts and job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload product using power equipment.
  • Safely move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product.
  • Perform daily housekeeping of the operations building, equipment, break rooms, restrooms, and smoke areas.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and department meetings.
  • Complete lift inspection (electronic/paper) prior to operation.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage free.
  • Ensure that product is scanned properly and matches the Item code on the product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product.
  • Complete all Inbound and Outbound paper work accurately and completely.
  • Report all product damage to your supervisor/manager.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report all inventory discrepancy to supervisor/manager.
  • Assist in all areas and processes in the operation as needed / required.
