About The Position

The Sink Pack Tech is responsible for various packing and inventory tasks to ensure finished products are prepared for shipment. This includes entering receiving data, running reports to identify daily packing requirements, selecting and using appropriate packing materials, and securely packing sinks, accessories, and finished pieces. The role also involves shrink wrapping orders, crating products for international shipment, and performing monthly inventory counts. Secondary responsibilities include managing pallets, using a forklift for storage, and applying smooth-on mixture to finished pieces. The position requires the ability to understand work instructions, work in a fast-paced environment, operate power tools and a forklift, and be available for extended hours and overtime, including weekends.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
  • Ability to demonstrate comprehension of positional work instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work power tools including drill motor, nail gun, various hand saws, etc.
  • Ability to operate stand up or sit down fork truck and become certified
  • Able to work extended hours and overtime including weekends
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach overhead repetitively during an 8 to 10 hour day
  • Able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Lift minimum of 50 lbs. repetitively

Responsibilities

  • Enter receiving sinks from casting into inventory or assign to job as per requirements
  • Run Non-Fab Packing by Plant Commit report to get daily packing requirements
  • Identify small part/accessories and sinks required for job being packed
  • Calculate and use the correct shipping materials needed in order to properly pack the job
  • Securely pack finished pieces, sinks, and accessories for shipment
  • Secure and label shipments properly
  • Wrap packed order utilizing shrink wrap, tape and plywood as per packing requirements
  • Weigh and check dimensions on each piece and enter into the system
  • Crate product with proper packaging for international shipment as required
  • Accurately complete monthly inventory of all sinks and accessories
  • Create and manage pallets for shipment in the Pallet Manager system
  • Move boxes, sinks, accessories and pallets using a forklift into the storage racks and add location to the job
  • Mix and apply smooth-on mixture to finished pieces
