About The Position

In this role, the Simulator Technician I will be expected to: Perform routine technical tasks on site, in field or laboratory. Receive training in the various phases of laboratory, office, plant or field technical work. Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems. Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues on simulators and related systems. Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities. Complete all assigned training activities. Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators. Conduct basic visual alignments. Execute automated Qualification Test Guide (QTG) processes. Support refurbishment initiatives and hardware modifications. Learn and adhere to CAE quality management system requirements. Provide customer service support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner. Perform housekeeping duties to maintain simulator condition and cleanliness. Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair coordination, and testing/validation. Complete administrative tasks as required. Provide support to the technical services group as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree or 4 years of experience in an electronic, avionics, or related technical field.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Ability to interpret system schematics and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in operating test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, logic analyzer).
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
  • Basic computer proficiency (PC and/or system architecture).
  • Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repair.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Exposure to simulator environments or technical training in simulation systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical systems and processes in a structured environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
  • Interest in continuous technical development and training.
