About The Position

CAE is looking for Simulator Technicians for our training centers in Orlando and Sanford. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems. Requirements

  • 2‑year technical degree or equivalent related training.
  • 1 year of simulator‑related experience in one of the following: Electronics/avionics, Automated systems, Computer networking repair and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
  • Basic skills in operating test equipment.
  • Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair.
  • Some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools and suite.
  • Able to travel (less than 10%).

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems.
  • Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight tasks on designated simulators.
  • Perform basic visual alignments.
  • Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
  • Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete all designated training activities.
  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
  • Learn and comply with CAE’s quality management system.
  • Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
  • Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.
  • Perform required administrative tasks.
