About The Position

The Simulations Analyst is responsible for providing exercise live and synthetic communications support to include integration of simulation support hardware/software for advanced Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces (NECF) training and assessment. The Simulations Analyst receives work direction from the Senior Military Analyst for Exercises and the Project Manager. The Simulations Analyst will perform the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate and maintain simulation computer workstations and networks in support of simulation-based events. Maintain expertise and provide technical guidance to NEXWDC staff on the collaboration tools utilized by the Expeditionary enterprise to include Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) wide area network, Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Agile Client and Defense Collaboration Services (DCS) to enable mission execution. Be proficient in Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulations tool and MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS) System. Support development and execution of live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training events, integrating Navy Expeditionary C4I systems into the Navy synthetic communications and control architecture, namely NCTE and DRMS. Assist NEXWDC in ongoing research, development, and integration of Command and Control, Communications, and Computer and Information (C4I) systems and equipment. Serve in various exercise control (EXCON) roles such as exercise lead, Assessor, Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) Manager, etc. as required by the Senior Military Analyst. Provide curriculum/instruction as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of active-duty U.S. military service experience in expeditionary communications, preferably within the U.S. Navy, or comparable DoD expeditionary communications experience.
  • Experience must include synthetic C4I architecture and DoD modeling and simulation.
  • Previous experience with GCCS-Joint and modeling and simulation systems, preferably the MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS), or comparable systems such as Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), OneSAF, Virtual Battlespace (VBS), Real-Time Automated Visualization Environment (RAVE), or JLVC Analysis Workstation (JAWS).
  • Recent and relevant experience, within the past five years, supporting Naval or DoD live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training, including simulation training development and execution at the tactical and operational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Expert proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other media type software.
  • A Secret security clearance is required for this position.
