The Simulation Technician, Academic Health Science position acts as a Lead Simulation Technician (ST) and an independent interdisciplinary team member. This role coordinates the communication, setup, and implementation of simulated learning experiences in the Clinical Learning Resource Center (CLRC) and oversees the work of other STs. The position is crucial for maintaining high-caliber clinical learning areas for health science colleges and programs. It aims to foster collaboration, excellent customer service, and efficient workflow to meet the educational and research needs of health science programs and external partners. The Lead ST reports to the CLRC Manager and works collaboratively with CLRC staff, faculty, students, standardized patients, and visitors in a simulated healthcare environment. With minimal supervision, the Lead ST utilizes project management principles to coordinate, plan, and implement clinical labs. This role demands strong independent problem-solving, time management, supervisory, and mentoring skills. The position may involve frequent interruptions, shifting priorities, strict deadlines, multiple competing demands, complex issues, and moderate to heavy physical labor, requiring individuals to be on their feet for extended periods.
