Simulation Product Engineer

GREEN14Stockholm, ME
Onsite

About The Position

At GREEN14, we are building a new generation of simulation technology for complex industrial processes. Our team combines multiphysics models, machine learning, and experimental process data to understand systems such as plasma reactors and high-temperature metallurgical processes. We can build sophisticated models and fast surrogates. But for that technology to matter outside a research environment, a process engineer needs to be able to use it. This role involves bridging simulation, software, product, and industrial process engineering to define how engineers interact with our technology, enabling them to define problems, change parameters, run scenarios, inspect results, compare conditions, and use models for better decision-making. The goal is to make complex simulation outputs accessible and understandable to engineers without requiring them to be experts in solver architecture or programming.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineer who cares about both technical quality and whether the software actually solves a problem.
  • Experience with modern application development, preferably React / TypeScript or a comparable stack.
  • Experience with interactive, data-heavy applications.
  • Experience with scientific, engineering, or time-series visualization.
  • Experience with APIs and computational backends.
  • Experience with application architecture and reusable component design.
  • Experience with testing and production software development.
  • Desire to understand the process and ask questions to understand the real problem.
  • Ability to think about how to turn knowledge into something an engineer can use.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python, FastAPI, WebGL, Three.js, scientific visualization, data platforms, Docker, cloud infrastructure, or desktop application technologies.
  • Experience building software for engineering, scientific, or industrial users.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build interactive software for simulation, visualization, and industrial process analysis.
  • Turn complex simulation outputs into visualizations that help engineers understand what is happening inside their process.
  • Build interfaces for manipulating parameters, running scenarios, and comparing results.
  • Help define the complete workflow from process problem, inputs, simulation, exploration, and decision.
  • Connect applications to simulation and ML backends through well-designed APIs.
  • Build reusable components and application architecture that can support different processes and simulation products.
  • Work with our simulation team to understand the underlying physics and determine how it should be exposed to users.
  • Contribute to APIs, data handling, and backend architecture where appropriate.
  • Help turn internal research tools into software industrial engineers want to use.
