About The Position
The College of Nursing (CON) seeks a temporary Simulation Lab Assistant, working 20 hours a week, to directly contribute to the education of future nurses. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the seamless operation of our Skills Learning and High-Fidelity Labs. This includes preparing and restocking equipment and supplies, guiding faculty at the start of sessions, maintaining lab organization, and providing crucial support for the setup and breakdown of immersive high-fidelity learning experiences.
Requirements
- One of the following certifications: EMT; LPN; RN; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- 1+ years' experience in hospital or acute care inpatient care
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in related field
- Experience working in medical/nursing learning labs
Responsibilities
- Coordinate simulation lab setup and breakdown for students and faculty.
- Guide faculty on lab setup at the beginning of sessions.
- Maintain lab readiness through tidying and restocking.
- Support the Simulation Team in high-fidelity lab preparation and dismantling.
- Oversee simulation team supply inventory and restocking.
- Communicate supply needs to the Simulation Coordinator.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on lab equipment and request repairs.
- Supervise student simulation lab assistants.
- Aid in the facilitation of high-fidelity simulation experiences.
