About The Position

The Global Virtual Engineering (GVE) department is seeking experienced and motivated candidates for the role of SiL SIE (Software-in-the-Loop Simulation Integration Engineer). This role is part of a group responsible for creating virtual environments to enable calibration, verification, and validation of embedded controllers for engine, transmission, hybrid, electrification, chassis, and body electronics. The Simulation Integration Engineer is responsible for leading the move to virtual engineering by leading the integration of full-vehicle cross-functional co-simulation packages that are used for all aspects of vehicle development. This position involves high level of collaboration with teams throughout General Motors including Propulsion Engineering (PE), Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls (VMEC), Embedded Platform Systems & Infrastructure (EPSI), Calibration, Algorithm, Vehicle Performance, Validation, and Hardware Development. This position requires an individual with a passion for virtualization, an adept knowledge of hardware and software integrated systems, and a demonstrated capability to manage a wide variety of technical and customer needs. He or she will work as a liaison between the Plant Modeling team, Tools team, and internal development teams, to integrate and deliver simulation environments on time and with quality. A balance of technical and project leadership skills and the ability to think outside the box to find simple yet exciting solutions is paramount.
