The School of Nursing at the University of Kansas Medical Center seeks a full-time faculty to support clinical education, with an emphasis in clinical simulation within the prelicensure nursing programs. This is a clinical track position; rank and salary are commensurate with experience. The faculty member will facilitate student learning and competency development primarily through clinical hands-on laboratory instruction, simulation-based education, and competency assessment. The faculty member will advance student success by promoting safe, evidence-based nursing practice while fostering clinical judgment, professional behaviors, and confidence in patient care. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the faculty member will contribute to course, curriculum, and simulation development, implementation, and evaluation activities. The clinical faculty member will also participate in service-related activities that support the mission of the School of Nursing. Opportunities to engage in clinical practice through the School of Nursing Faculty Practice Plan may be available. The faculty member will also participate in service-related activities that support the school and possibly engage in clinical practice through the School of Nursing faculty practice plan.
