About The Position

The Simple Assumption/Exempt Transfer Specialist will work with applicants who request to add or remove a person on an existing loan through an Exempt transfer of ownership (Simple Assumption or Simultaneous Modification Assumption) or request a Recast of their loan. As the Simple Assumption/Exempt Transfer Specialist, you will be responsible for sending disclosures, collecting required supporting documentation, preparing the final documents, and responding to applicant inquiries as applicable. The Simple Assumption/Exempt Transfer Specialist ensures that all loan servicing requirements are met as specified by the investor and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Personal computer knowledge, including proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and follow-through skills
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Ability to deliver timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinker with problem solving skills, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Ability to make decisions independently within set policy and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Mortgage and/or financial services industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Effectively service inbound calls from applicants
  • Conduct timely outbound call attempts to secure required documents for review when required
  • Review Assumption inquiries within set department expectations
  • Review and validate loan documents to process the Exempt Transfer or Recast
  • Provide general account information to customers including, but not limited to, inquiries regarding payments and loan documents
  • Conduct preliminary or basic research in order to respond to Exempt Transfer or Recast inquiries
  • Send disclosures to comply with investor and regulatory requirements when required
  • Process customer payments via phone
  • Meet outlined production and quality standards
  • Interact with other Pennymac servicing departments to solution customer requests and resolve issues
  • Request assistance for and/or escalate more complex issues to department senior associates or supervisors
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
