About The Position
In search of a Part-time Silver Sneakers Exercise Instructor who can teach at the Schalmo Family YMCA in Canal Fulton, OH. This role involves teaching every other Monday morning for two classes, every Tuesday morning, and being available to fill in at the Schalmo Family YMCA and Paul & Carol David YMCA (Jackson Township) as needed.
Requirements
- Willing to specialize in the Senior population, training provided
- Dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Certification from nationally-recognized fitness accreditation agency
Nice To Haves
- CPR and AED certification preferred, but will provide
- Able to teach multiple formats, preferred
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet the members with enthusiasm
- Design class format appropriate for type of class and participants
- Serve as a good role model
- Communicate with team members
- Address difficult situations by using the YMCA Character Values as a guide
