About The Position

Riggs Washington DC is seeking a Silver Lyan Host to join their team. Silver Lyan is a subterranean bar located in the former vault of the historic Riggs National Bank building, founded by internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana (Mr Lyan). The bar draws inspiration from D.C.'s culture, food, drink, people, and history to create a unique exchange and a memorable experience for guests. The Host will be responsible for welcoming guests warmly, creating a positive environment, managing reservations, obtaining guest information, anticipating needs, and providing personal and memorable experiences.

Requirements

Fun and welcoming personality is a MUST
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Willingness to learn and adapt in new situations
Possess poise, elegance and calm demeanor in all situations
Exceptional Organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Hotel Experience is not required
A minimum of 2 years of restaurant experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Welcome guests in a warm, personable, sincere, and friendly manner.
Provide and create a positive environment for everyone in the restaurant.
Receive calls and book reservations for the guest.
Obtain guest’s information in preparation for their reservation and arrival.
Anticipate guest’s needs, and create personal and memorable experiences and solutions.
Perform all other duties as requested by the restaurant manager.
