Silicon Validation Engineer

AppleCupertino, CA

About The Position

In this role, you’ll be responsible for lab characterization and validation of Apple custom silicon devices. You’ll help ensure that silicon and system power delivery meet Apple’s high quality standards before integration into industry-leading products. You’ll develop and execute electrical validation plans for Apple SoCs, including power delivery network analysis, functional and scan workload testing, and debugging on silicon validation hardware. You’ll work closely with engineers across silicon design, Design for Test (DFT), hardware, firmware, and software teams to investigate issues and communicate validation findings. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on hardware work, system-level debugging, and learning how complex SoCs are characterized and validated. You will be part of the Silicon Validation Hardware team, characterizing complex interactions between Apple custom silicon and validation platforms.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related degree program with 0 years of experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in power electronics, power delivery, and circuit analysis.
  • Familiarity with PMICs and board-level power distribution.
  • Ability to read and understand circuit schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment and electrical measurement techniques.
  • Strong hardware debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
