About The Position

Operates highly complex equipment in a cleanroom environment needed for Wafer Fabrication. Follows Microchip's Policies and adheres to cleanroom requirements. Supports Microchip's Guiding Values and Culture. Certifies and operates multiple platforms of highly to moderately complex equipment. Receives direct instructions and follows prescribed procedures. Activities are routine and may be repetitive. Performs engineering or maintenance tasks such as executing experiments under the direction of an engineer or technician, documenting experiment results, making decisions on production holds to disposition lots in a timely manner, initiating, performing, and implementing corrective actions towards resolving process and equipment problems, performing routine checks and qualifications on equipment, and performing designated machine calibrations. Assists management with improving the efficiency of the manufacturing process. Writes progress reports, updates the pilot tracker, and keeps inventory. Expected to pack, unpack, ship, and receive lots in and out of the fab. Learns how to use the SA Shipping Authorization system. Collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data. Interfaces effectively with all departments to obtain coordination of efforts needed to accomplish priority tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to multi-task while paying careful attention to detail.
  • Prior success working individually with little supervision.
  • Ability to follow direction (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed work specifications for each specific pilot type.
  • Good work history, dependable, personal attendance/punctuality.
  • Personal availability to work compressed shift schedule.
  • Quick adaptability to changes.
  • Basic computer, math, reading comprehension skills, and printing documents.
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Fab production experience in a clean room environment is preferred.
