About The Position

Team Modern is seeking a Signage Installation Specialist to join their Signs & Graphics division. This role is responsible for installing various types of signage, including standalone signs, monuments, digital displays, backlit letters, and graphics on surfaces like walls, windows, and vehicles. The position also involves conducting pre-installation site surveys to assess project feasibility and aid in planning. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in the sign and graphics industry, be capable of working both independently and collaboratively, and take pride in delivering high-quality finished products that meet client expectations. This role reports to the Signs & Graphics Operations Manager.

Requirements

2+ years of experience as a sign installer or similar trades experience.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to read and interpret installation instructions, blueprints, and site survey requirements.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of various types of signage, including vinyl, channel letters, electrical signs, and road signs.
Ability to operate hand and power tools.
Able to perform strenuous labor including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
A willingness to work overtime during evenings and on weekends as necessary to complete scheduled projects on time.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-installation site surveys and field measurements, evaluating site conditions, access, and potential installation challenges.
Verify dimensions, mounting surfaces, utilities, and structural conditions, documenting findings with photographs, sketches, and detailed notes.
Communicate findings to project managers, designers, and production staff to ensure accurate fabrication and installation planning.
Ensure signs, graphics, and monuments meet client specifications for spacing, location, and function.
Prepare sites by removing old signage, preparing surfaces or structures, and securing electrical connections.
Ensure accurate measurement, placement, connection, and installation of signage.
Load and transport signs, tools, and materials to install locations safely.
Clear debris and materials from the site after each installation.
Perform maintenance and repairs to signs as needed.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment in accordance with all company safety policies and guidelines.
Field customer questions and feedback professionally, representing Team Modern with a customer-first mindset.
