About The Position

The Sign Shop Technician I helps maintain safe and efficient movement throughout the City of Branson by creating, repairing, and installing city signage in accordance with federal MUTCD standards. The role also includes installing and maintaining pavement markings, setting up work zones and barricades, and following safety protocols to protect drivers and pedestrians. Duties may include trimming trees and snow plowing. The position is onsite in and around Branson, Missouri. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours work and scheduled call-out, on-call, and emergency assignments.

Requirements

At least one year of experience performing semi-skilled building, mechanical, construction, or grounds maintenance tasks.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle for the position.
Pass the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam before the start date.
Willingness to work snow routes with 12-hour shifts during November through March.
Ability to work scheduled call-out duty, on-call rotations, and emergency calls outside normal work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and a physical agility screening.

Responsibilities

Create, build, repair, and install city street signs in accordance with federal MUTCD standards.
Install and maintain pavement markings using paint stripers and other tools.
Set up work zones and place barricades while following safety protocols.
Trim trees and perform snow plowing as needed.
Work scheduled snow routes, call-out duty, on-call rotations, and emergency calls outside normal work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
