About The Position
Are you an experienced Sign Language Interpreter ready to be an essential link in a student's educational journey? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the '25-'26 school year in the Federal Way, WA ! Position Overview: Provide accurate and effective in-person sign language interpretation to ensure inclusive communication for Deaf / Hard of Hearing students, their peers, and staff. Leverage expertise in Deaf culture and education to actively promote student independence and foster academic and social success. Consult and coordinate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, teachers, and families to align interpreting services with educational goals.
Requirements
- Washington Sign Language Interpreter Certification
- Strong background in Deaf Education and experience working in a school setting
- National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or National Association of the Deaf (NAD)
Responsibilities
