About The Position

Basic Purpose Position interprets for different school functions, conferences, meetings and assemblies, IEP meetings, medical meetings with nursing staff, parent homes and sorority when requested and psychological testing when requested. Teach sign language classes to OSD staff and others as assigned. Assist in special programs and activities when interpreting is necessary. Attend in-service training as scheduled and interpret workshops as required to keep certification current.

Requirements

• State certification through DRS/QAST (Quality Assurance Screening Test)
• National certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
• Applicant must be willing to perform all job-related travel.
