About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor or Lead, this role installs new signs and services existing signs efficiently and within budget. The job involves reviewing blueprints, preparing materials, determining installation procedures, and driving trucks to transport sign materials. The installer will assemble and install products using hand and power tools, operate heavy equipment, and may erect scaffolding or other work platforms. Maintenance and repair of existing signs, completion of paperwork, and adherence to safety guidelines are also key aspects of the role. Customer sign-off on completed work is required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Six or more years of relevant experience involving demonstrated abilities in construction including welding, operation of heavy equipment, crane and forklift, power tools, electrical experience, and reading blueprints and work orders
Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet critical deadlines, as well as working independently
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing
Ability to operate computer, telephone, and other office equipment
Knowledge of electrical installation (NEC codes, etc.)
Knowledge of LED lighting and signaling systems
Excellent basic math skills
Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, and the highest level of integrity
Excellent communication skills
Maintain regular and timely attendance
Valid Class B CDL License
Welding experience
Ability to climb, crawl, bend, lift 50 pounds and operate heavy equipment

Responsibilities

Reviews blueprints, identifies and prepares necessary materials and supplies for sign installation
Determine layout and installation procedures and measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
Drives trucks to transport sign materials to installation sites and load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
Assemble and install products utilizing hand and power tools, operating heavy equipment
May require scaffolding erection and other work platforms
Performs maintenance and repair to existing signs
Completes paperwork for installations and service work
Follows all safety guidelines and regulations
Obtains completed work sign-off from customers
Cleans and maintains equipment
Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned
