About The Position

The Paint Prep area is primarily responsible for the preparation of surfaces before the application of finishes to the product. Duties include sanding signs with appropriate grits of sandpaper, washing signs, filling seams, sanding seam filler, and caulking products as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED
• Ability to use tape measures and scale rules with accuracy.
• Ability to stand and walk in approximately a 200 ft. radius for 8-10 hours/day.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50-80lbs.
• Ability to maintain correct postures while reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, and twisting.
• Ability to reach horizontally across a work surface beyond 12” from the body up to full body extension.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive body and refinishing skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints, drawings, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
• Sand signs with appropriate grits of sandpaper.
• Fill seams with filler and caulking products as required.
• Wash and finish prepping the signs for painting.
