About The Position

The SIEM Engineer is a highly technical role on the Security Infrastructure team in Cybersecurity. This role will be responsible for the Global logging infrastructure for Mondelez International. The role will be fully remote within the United States with the ability to work in US time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific). The role will own the handling of data log sources ingested into a Security Information and Event Management system, with all aspects of the tailoring and management of the pipeline using a vendor supported tool. This role will also involve collaborating with adjacent teams for future deployment and/or troubleshooting. This is a high visibility position reporting to a Sr Manager, interfacing with higher levels of company management on occasion on high stakes initiatives.

Requirements

  • Information security, compliance and risk management experience.
  • Understanding of security solutions and their applicability to Mondelēz International.
  • Experience developing security strategies, awareness campaigns, policies/standards, and governance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical specialists, leaders and peers.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Extensive experience with logging infrastructures.
  • Experience dealing with Log Collection, Log Relay, Normalization, Optimization.
  • Amazon Web Services Experience or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
  • Solid understanding of network engineering.
  • Solid understanding on Windows & Linux operating systems.
  • Extensive experience with any of the Logscale, NGSIEM, NiFi, Cribl, Databahn, Splunk, ELK, Sumo Logic, or similar technologies.
  • At least 3 years exact experience.
  • 8-10 years professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (preferred, needs to be completed within 12 months of start).

Responsibilities

  • Assess information security risks in line with internal policies and external best practices.
  • Determine requirements how to secure Mondelēz International information and IT assets.
  • Develop security standards and policies.
  • Advise technical teams when developing relevant procedures or have operational security questions.
  • Review and consult technical teams on compliant and effective use of common tools.
  • Keep business stakeholders apprised on the overall security and compliance roadmap.
  • Provide training on information security to appropriate teams.
  • Develop security strategies, architectures and roadmaps across process and technologies.
  • Handling of data log sources ingested into a Security Information and Event Management system, with all aspects of the tailoring and management of the pipeline using a vendor supported tool.
  • Collaborating with adjacent teams for future deployment and/or troubleshooting.
