About The Position

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Side Loader Forklift Operator to support their Vancouver manufacturing shop, located in Surrey, BC. This is a full-time, on-site position created to accommodate increased production volume. The role requires recent, hands-on side loader experience within a manufacturing setting. The operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a side loader forklift with custom attachments to move and transport large modular wall panel systems, including oversized glass units, and load completed units onto shipping racks. The position involves working closely with another operator in a team-based environment, completing safety checklists and documentation, scanning and tracking modules for inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Identifying and reporting hazards is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–4 years of recent experience operating a side loader forklift
  • Manufacturing environment experience (mandatory)
  • Valid forklift operator certification/license
  • Proven ability to safely handle large, oversized, and high-value modular units
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must live locally in the Lower Mainland (relocation assistance not available)
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle

  • Experience with inventory tracking, scanning, or materials handling documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Flexibility to assist with other shop tasks as needed during slower periods

Responsibilities

  • Operate a side loader forklift (with custom attachments) safely and efficiently
  • Move and transport large modular wall panel systems, including oversized glass units
  • Remove completed units from the assembly line and load onto shipping racks
  • Work closely with another operator in a team-based environment
  • Complete all safety checklists, documentation, and tracking accurately and on time
  • Scan and track modules for inventory and job completion
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Perform other related duties as required
