About The Position

Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is seeking a MedValet Shuttle Wheelchair Driver in the Quad Cities market (Milan, IL). As a driver, you will be responsible for ensuring patients’ compassionate, safe, and efficient transfer between healthcare facilities. This role involves variable shifts and hours, including alternating weekends, with the understanding that transports may extend beyond scheduled shift end times. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization providing emergency and scheduled ambulance and patient transport services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Valid Illinois Driver’s license required
• Required to pass a drug screen
• Ability to comply with federal and state legal regulations and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervise patients during transportation
• Assist the patient in and out of the shuttle vehicle with use of wheelchair
• Comfort patients and families by offering support and encouragement, respecting procedure schedules, and demonstrating care and cultural sensitivity
• Assist facility staff with escorting both the patient and belongings to and from the vehicle
• Maintain current State of Illinois driver's license
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
• Present and promote a positive company image
