About The Position

This individual will be responsible for the efficient and timely transportation of various size parts, components, and small equipment from Bismarck to Rapid City, SD 2 times a week, and from Bismarck to Williston, 2 times a week. This individual will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining safe working habits as well as complying with DOT and FMCSA laws and regulations. This position entails a 4-5 day work week, starting at 7:30 am and typically concluding by 5-6 pm.

Requirements

  • Driving these vehicles includes many hours of highway time during the early morning hours
  • Requires a valid Class A CDL and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
  • Must possess a current Medical Card or the ability to obtain one at time of hire
  • Must be able to operate forklift
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Maintain excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, both internal and external customers
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Attain short- and long-term objectives through good planning
  • Works in an efficient and effective manner
  • Contributes to departmental and product line goals

Responsibilities

  • Shuttles various size parts, components and Small Equipment between Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, and Grand Forks ND following a strict schedule to maintain the timely delivery of the goods at the necessary locations
  • Loads and unloads goods from truck and/or trailer at the correct locations
  • Conduct pre and post inspections of vehicles daily and promptly report, and schedule vehicle maintenance as needed
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records, such as logbooks and fuel sheets
  • Keeps equipment, vehicles, and work area clean and orderly
  • Operates vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment, inside and out to a presentable level
  • Completes all paperwork required for jobs, including all paperwork required by law
  • Performs as directed by the Shuttle Truck & Facilities Manager
