About The Position

This individual will be responsible for the efficient and timely transportation of various size parts, components, and small equipment from Bismarck to Rapid City, SD 2 times a week, and from Bismarck to Williston, 2 times a week. This individual will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining safe working habits as well as complying with DOT and FMCSA laws and regulations. This position entails a 4-5 day work week, starting at 7:30 am and typically concluding by 5-6 pm.

Requirements

Driving these vehicles includes many hours of highway time during the early morning hours
Requires a valid Class A CDL and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
Must possess a current Medical Card or the ability to obtain one at time of hire
Must be able to operate forklift
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Maintain excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Must have excellent customer service skills, both internal and external customers
Must have excellent organizational skills
Attain short- and long-term objectives through good planning
Works in an efficient and effective manner
Contributes to departmental and product line goals
Must have a positive mental attitude

Responsibilities

Shuttles various size parts, components and Small Equipment between Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, and Grand Forks ND following a strict schedule to maintain the timely delivery of the goods at the necessary locations
Loads and unloads goods from truck and/or trailer at the correct locations
Conduct pre and post inspections of vehicles daily and promptly report, and schedule vehicle maintenance as needed
Maintain accurate vehicle records, such as logbooks and fuel sheets
Keeps equipment, vehicles, and work area clean and orderly
Operates vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
Maintains cleanliness of equipment, inside and out to a presentable level
Completes all paperwork required for jobs, including all paperwork required by law
Performs as directed by the Shuttle Truck & Facilities Manager
