About The Position

This role involves transporting guests to and from various locations in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner while practicing safe driving. You will also be responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, maintaining vehicle logs, and ensuring guest confidentiality. Requirements

  • Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement issued by the state in which the associate will be performing shuttle driver services.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license at all times.
  • Pass annual / semiannual MVR check.
  • Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park as applicable.
  • Must possess current Medical Examiners Certificate.
  • Must maintain an up-to-date license as well as DOT endorsements and a bi-annual physical exam as applicable.
  • At least three years of commercial driving experience or nine (9) years of driving experience as a licensed driver.
  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems.
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed.

Responsibilities

  • Transport guests to and/or from the hotel, hospital, casino, and local area in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner using safe driving practices.
  • Assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up during guest arrival and departure.
  • Maintain vehicle activity and maintenance logs.
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by manager and client contact.
  • Learn and remember pick-up and destination points.
  • Possess knowledge of all property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, local attractions, and parking rates.
  • Communicate by telephone, two-way radio, and in person in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner with all guests, location staff, and co-workers.
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within 30 seconds while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Use guest last name at all times when appropriate.
  • Maintain accuracy and composure while under pressure.
  • Use appropriate salutation of the day and welcome to property.
  • Inspect the exterior and interior of the vehicle at the beginning of each shift for properly operating equipment and safety.
  • Monitor vehicle condition and record malfunctioning items or damage, submitting them to the manager.
  • Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA requirements.
  • Maintain the security of client financial and identifying information.
  • Offer a hand for assistance to patrons.
  • Check wheelchairs for safe operation prior to each use and clean them after each use.
  • Assist patrons with entering and exiting the vehicle.
  • Use specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts as required.
