About The Position

IMC/Parts Authority LLC. is seeking a Shuttle Driver for their San Bernardino, California location. This is a newly created career opportunity with a company vehicle provided. The Delivery Driver is a pivotal role in the success of the business, serving as the main point of contact with customers and fostering strong client relationships. Parts Authority is a fast-growing Supply Chain company with a history of promotable career advancement and job stability, celebrating 50 years of growth. The company is a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment, and transmissions, with over 300 locations across the US. Parts Authority prides itself on its team of professionally trained, experienced counter people and its extensive catalog of over 3 million parts. The company is rapidly expanding and looking for passionate individuals who love to drive and provide stellar customer service to join their team as a Parts Authority ambassador.

Requirements

  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to meet company insurance requirements- (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
  • Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, prolonged sitting. (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs )
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety
  • Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
  • Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for purposes of navigation/ route optimization
  • Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of team
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Transport items between stores while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Work as part of the shuttle team to ensure orders are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered between stores.
  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items between stores in a safe, timely manner.
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the team member is satisfied.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
  • Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to deliver packages to customers on time.
  • When applicable, complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle and notify manager of any issues.
  • Assist in any and all other store/ warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling etc.) as assigned.
