About The Position

As a Shuttle Driver for Under Canvas, your primary responsibility is to transport team members safely and comfortably between their housing and the camp location, as well as to other various locations as needed. This role also involves training in operational tasks and assisting with on-property duties during periods between shuttle runs. You will be responsible for operating company vehicles and adhering to a schedule that varies weekly based on business needs. This is a seasonal, hourly position, and team member housing is available for the duration of employment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently
  • Ability to perform extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas

Responsibilities

  • Maintain composure under pressure (traffic, road detours, delays)
  • Professional, mature, collaborative
  • Operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
  • Evaluate area traffic and identify most efficient route while transporting employees
  • Work with facilities leadership to ensure regular maintenance and safety checks are being performed on vehicle
  • Keep company vehicles clean and in good condition
  • Focus on safety and awareness of surroundings
  • Act as a support role for all operation departments in between shuttle periods
  • Maintain timeliness and dependability
  • Be an active listener, a genuine relationship builder, and an approachable co-worker
  • Other duties as assigned
