Shuttle Driver PT Saturdays - No CDL required

About The Position

We are seeking shuttle drivers to work in Weston. These are steady, local routes transporting college students. This position will be the busiest when college is in session, but we expect to have hours available during breaks as well. We operate walk-on 14-passenger vehicles which do not require a CDL - however, if you have a CDL you get paid extra and are encouraged to apply! Drug testing, a DOT physical, and other compliance measures will be followed. Non-CDL drivers earn $23/hour to start. Applicants who already have a CDL (w/ P endorsement) earn $24/hour to start. VPA offers weekly payroll - get a check, direct deposit, or a pay card each week! Currently, we are seeking 1 PT Driver will work on a fill-in basis weekdays, and also work Saturdays 10am-6pm.

Requirements

Valid class D (Non-CDL) license in good standing
At least 20 years old
A valid DOT Medical card is also required.
Background checks and driving tests will be conducted.

Nice To Haves

CDL (w/ P endorsement)
Professional driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
Opening and closing doors for patrons
Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
Recording passenger counts and trip times
Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
