Shuttle Driver
About The Position
The primary function of this position is to drive a tractor trailer to move loaded trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, equipment and supply) and empty trailers to and from remote dispatch sites. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. May also be called upon to perform duties of Backhaul Driver or Delivery Driver. Requirements
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- 6 months commercial driving experience required
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
Nice To Haves
- Doubles endorsement required AND minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferred
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
