About The Position

The Shuttle Driver provides safe, reliable, and timely transportation for students, faculty, and staff between campus locations, supporting timely access to classes and events while promoting campus safety and sustainability. This seasonal position is in the Transportation department and offers up to 25 hours per week, with variable hours. Evening and weekend work is required. The position is hourly and non-exempt. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1 to 3 years of work-related experience.
Valid New York State driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Operate the shuttle safely and follow traffic laws and regulations.
Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely passenger pickups and drop-offs.
Assist students, faculty, and staff with boarding and exiting the shuttle.
Provide information about routes, schedules, and campus events.
Respond effectively to emergencies and maintain passenger safety.
Maintain logs of ridership and incidents during shifts.
Interact with the public daily with courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
