About The Position

We are a family-owned company that has been serving the poultry industry since 1942. We believe our longevity is a testament to Integrity in the workplace. We provide services to multiple poultry companies located throughout the Southeastern United States. The services that we provide to our customers include vaccination, pullet/spike moving, and sorting. Each of these services are provided on site at the chicken farm. We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Shuttle Driver to transport team members to and from work that are located within the Shuttle Driver service area (Gainesville, GA). This position plays a critical role in ensuring our team members arrive safely, on time, and prepared for the workday. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for operating company vehicles professionally while providing excellent customer service to our fellow team members and maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record review.
  • Ability to safely operate passenger vans and other company vehicles.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in changing conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving passenger vans, shuttle buses, or commercial vehicles.
  • Experience working in transportation, logistics, or service industries.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport team members between designated pickup locations and company facilities.
  • Pick up team members before work and return them home after work according to established schedules.
  • Follow assigned routes while adjusting for traffic, weather, or operational changes as needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented company vehicle.
  • Ensure all team members wear seat belts and comply with company safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs, mileage records and inspection reports.
  • Communicate effectively with Operations Manager, Field Operations Managers, Supervisors, and team members regarding schedules and delays.
  • Fuel company vehicles as needed according to Duck's Poultry Service Gasoline Fueling Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Always Represent Duck's Poultry Service professionally, including when interacting with team members, customers, and the public.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations.
