The purpose of the Shuttle Driver Trainee-DOT is to train to perform pickup and delivery of daily routes to domicile drivers and return empty trailers for reloading back to the warehouse. Train to perform as a safe and courteous shuttle driver and demonstrate BEK principles during interactions with the public and customers. Maintain cleanliness of tractors/trailers used during the shift to ensure the upkeep and overall condition of equipment. Always adhere to all FMCSA laws and regulations to demonstrate compliance. Ensure trailers and tractors are adequately fueled and fuel levels are consistently maintained on equipment used at the warehouse or shuttle site. Occasionally complete deliveries to customers to/from the warehouse or shuttle site as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) Preferred
Valid Class A CDL
Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations required
Ability to read and interpret rules/guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions
Good computer skills
Ability to learn internal applications i.e.… On-Board Computer and Proof of Delivery equipment
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
Ability to follow instructions and take direction.
Must be able to lift and move dolly tongue and cases weighing up to 90 pounds occasionally.
Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
Must be able to walk extensively.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend at the waist, stoop, and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner.

Responsibilities
