Summary: The primary responsibility of the shuttle driver will be to transport students to and from destinations for official business, off-campus classes, class trips, and recreation and entertainment opportunities. Drivers will also assist with parking shuttles for special events sponsored by Keuka College. Applications are being accepted for CDL and non-CDL licensed candidates. This is a pool position and candidates will be interviewed on an as-needed basis. Essential Responsibilities: Provide safe and efficient transportation in accordance with Keuka College safety regulations and policies. Maintain valid NY State Class C Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement and a New York State medical certificate. Responsible for all driving assignments scheduled through Student Affairs. Any driver changes must be coordinated through Student Life. The driver is responsible for the proper completion and handling of paperwork and fuel receipts. Conduct pre and post-inspections of vehicles, clean bus after each trip, and report any mechanical issues to Facilities. Inform passengers of rule infractions such as smoking or inappropriate behavior and the consequences for such behavior. Report any irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations to Campus Safety. In the event of an accident or passenger illness, contact the appropriate emergency agency and cooperate with responders. Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, and internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork. Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required. Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies. Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures. Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required. Perform other functions as assigned by management.
