About The Position

The Shuttle Driver - Hotel will safely drive shuttle bus passengers to and from the hotel. This role involves cheerfully greeting passengers, providing assistance with baggage loading and unloading, and operating the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver will record any vehicle issues, communicate with dispatchers and other employees via a two-way radio system for route coordination and customer pick-ups, and conduct pre/post trip inspections of the shuttle buses. Additionally, the driver will monitor traffic and weather conditions, report accidents or safety situations, and treat all customers courteously, friendly, and professionally.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Minimum of two years licensed driving experience.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical exam.
• Ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment depending upon customer volume, shift, season, etc.
• Possess positive and professional attitude with strong communication skills.
• 3 Years Drivers License

Nice To Haves

• Experience driving shuttle bus or commercial vehicles preferred.
• Valet parking: 1 year+
• Customer service: 1 year+

Responsibilities

• Safely drive shuttle bus passengers to and from the hotel.
• Cheerfully greet passengers and provide assistance with baggage loading and unloading.
• Operate the vehicle in a safe manner and record any issues with the vehicle on the appropriate forms.
• Communicate with dispatchers, drivers and other employees using a two-way radio system to communicate routes, announcing arrivals and delays, coordinating the pick-up of customers, or handling other vehicle or customer issues that arise.
• Conducts pre/post trip inspections of the shuttle buses at the beginning and end of shift to ensure sound operating conditions.
• Monitors traffic and weather conditions and notifies dispatch or supervisor of potential problems.
• Reports accidents or other safety situations to dispatch or supervisor.
• Treats all customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
