About The Position

This position is responsible for the movement of semi-trailers to warehouse spec, building juice plant, and Ice Cream Plant as needed to unload or load raw materials, packaging, or finished product. The role involves unloading ingredients or supplies from trucks at receiving docks or warehouse using a forklift, stacking material and supplies properly, and maintaining inventory of all supplies received. The driver will notify the supervisor of the need to reorder materials and supplies for placement in inventory. They will supply all packaging and supplies to plants as requested to ensure the filling line continues uninterrupted and rotates material in the warehouse using the FIFO method and SAP system. The role also involves consistently moving product by batch codes, quantity, and product numbers for plants using the SAP system and RF equipment, and storing/retrieving product in a FIFO manner using a computer. The driver may operate company vehicles to deliver products or pick up supplies as directed from all warehouses, in and out of town. Additionally, the role includes performing light maintenance on company forklifts and trucks (gas, oil, tires, batteries), completing daily equipment checklists, and performing cleaning duties on vehicles, ensuring they are properly serviced. Other duties as assigned and responsible conduct consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of related experience.
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must have a forklift operator's license and valid Class A motor vehicle license or willing to get a Class A Driver's license within timeframe established by management
  • Ability to operate single and tandem axle trucks forklift and pallet mover (single and double)
  • Ability to operate a battery charger pallet wrapper computer fax machine telephone system plastic wrap and baler
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos
  • Take and pass all CDL physicals and take and pass a drug and alcohol test including random testing
  • Will comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company Local State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
