This role requires operating all types of equipment to perform safety functions, including manual transmissions and chaining tires. The driver must be skilled and qualified to drive in all types of terrain, routes, and environmental conditions. The primary responsibility is safely operating a tractor/trailer for freight transportation, adhering to all Company, Federal, State, and Local laws, including FMCSA regulations regarding run times and hazardous materials. The position involves maintaining required records, ensuring equipment and cargo security, and conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections. The driver may utilize in-cab technology, including electronic logs, and may be required to work different schedules or perform dock work (loading/unloading freight) based on business needs. Occasional over-the-road driving may be required with Safety approval. Providing professional and courteous service to customers and the public is essential. Regular attendance is mandatory.
